MEET THE PREDECESSORS

I have been asked why my humans could only be rescued by a poodle, well the answer is simple, they've got FORM! So I got them to hunt through all their photographs so I could show you guys their poodle history.

FIRST LAURIE

LAURIE AND BIM

Bim was a large miniature (if that makes sense). He used to take Laurie for a walk in the park and would quite often deliberately lose him (which is no way to treat number one son)!

WINIFRED AND THE BROTHERS

Laurie's mother and the laundry basket babes.

The brothers Sam and Ben all grown up.

SECOND HAZEL

Hazel sat on Nanny's lap with sisters Jane, Sheilagh and Carole with Debbie (a fiesty miniature poodle who lived with Nanny who was Hazel's Grandma).

Loved by the family, loathed by all delivery men!

LAURIE AND HAZEL

JAKE

Jake was inherited from Laurie's mother at the age of two, and what a legacy! He was a marvellous spirited friend who lived until the age of 16 (March 2005). They then had eighteen sad poodle less months before I rescued them in September 2006.

Finally I am starting a new game of tag - meet the ancestors and or predecessors. The only rules are that players may only tag one new dog blog at a time.

My first tag is the guys over at http://secretschnoodle.blogspot.com/

Wow Charlie, you tagged us good. we're gonna make our mom find some old old pictures and then she will have to scan them, so it may take a few days or so. she said she used to have a mini poodle when she was a child. his name was Tony. and she had a border collie named Trixie. she's been wanting to dig out those old pictures and we'll help her. this will be fun!

Hey Charlie,

That's quite an ancestry!

I don't have one. Except for my Grandmother's Bichon "Lucky", who died two years ago, I don't have any poodle relatives, yet!

Hey Charlie! I'm impressed with your ancestry record! Too bad I didn't have one.

What a great post, and how interesting to see your predecessors! You have fine looking ancestors. Of course, being poodles, that goes without saying :)

I'm the first poodle in my family, which is a lot of pressure, but I'm up to the task. We are great with so little effort!

Those are great pictures. We don't have any pictures of our ancestors, just pedigrees, which are really dull and boring.

Hey Charlie, we just have to say . . . poodles are so darned handsome! We have to go now--we're going to go look in the mirror again. Those are some good-lookin' ancestors.

Hi Charlie! Glad to see that you stopped by our blog! And it looks like I dropped by yours at the perfect post. I feel like I know your entire family now.
I'm back to my active, southern belle self thanks to all the DWB's out there (and their humans) that sent pawstive thoughts!

See you around!

Hey Charlie Dog, Fantastic photographs! I just met a chocolate version of you today named Into (pronounced in-toe). I thought it an odd name, but boy was he cute.

Your mom is right about her conversions. My mom isn't quite on the ball this week. And it was 31.6 not 13.6 cm of snow. Geez. The conversion is still wrong either way. Tsk tsk. Good thing she doesn't teach math, or meteorology.
